IPAWS is fully embedded into the EMCC vehicle design, providing a connected safety platform from the moment the vehicle is operational. The driver can remotely trigger site-wide alarms, issuing instant audible and visual alerts that reach the entire work zone. These collective warnings provide crews with critical seconds to respond, enhancing workforce protection and ensuring coordinated, rapid reactions during any incursion.
During setup, Portable Site Alarms (PSAs) are deployed along the carriageway, offering consistent and adaptable coverage that moves with the work zone. This portability simplifies site management and maintains a reliable safety perimeter throughout the operation.
Integrated CCTV cameras automatically begin recording when an alarm is activated, capturing vital footage for incident review and legal enforcement. This feature not only supports evidence-gathering but also enhances accountability and continuous improvement in safety practices.
The system further strengthens control by establishing a geo-fenced zone around the closure, enabling remote monitoring and real-time reporting. This ensures high situational awareness and effective oversight of site activity at all times.
