Smart Beacon is a Bluetooth-enabled communication point that helps people navigate complex or changing urban environments safely and confidently.
By delivering clear, location-specific information directly to users’ smartphones, Smart Beacon supports wayfinding, accessibility, and safety for pedestrians – including those who are visually impaired.
Each beacon transmits tailored audio or digital messages to anyone in range using the Sm@rtApp VI, providing essential local information such as directions, safety guidance, or facility details.

How It Works
Smart Beacon operates using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.0 technology.
When a user with the Sm@rtApp VI or compatible app enters range, the beacon automatically transmits pre-set information – such as:

“Welcome to City Square – toilets to your left, café straight ahead”
Messages can be directional, contextual, or time-sensitive, depending on the urban environment or project need.
Each beacon can broadcast unique messages and can also be deployed in conjunction with the SmartCross system to support accessible crossings and controlled pedestrian movement.
