On Thursday 25 th May, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) celebrated its Centenary with a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

The safety charity’s supporters, members, award winners, and staff enjoyed a royal tea party in glorious weather as it continued its year of 100th birthday celebrations. 3,500 guests attended the celebration and HRH The Duke of York attended on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, RoSPA’s Patron. The Duke met and spoke to a variety of guests, including accident victims and their families, who shared their stories of the importance of accident prevention in all aspects of daily life – in the workplace, in the home, on the road and at leisure.
 
Errol Taylor, RoSPA’s acting Chief Executive, said: “Everyone who attended the garden party had such a wonderful day. It surpassed all expectations, and the sun shone brightly all day”.
 
Chevron Traffic Management has been a member of RoSPA for a number of years and has won 6 consecutive Gold Awards for excellence in occupational health and safety. Christopher Rowley, National Health and Safety Manager attended the celebrations on behalf of the Company.
