Chevron provide Traffic Management for the London Marathon 2014

In conjunction with clients Wilson & Scott, Chevron Traffic Management having been playing our part in the preparation and organisation of this year’s London Marathon!

The London Marathon is the most popular and prestigious long-distance running event held in London, United Kingdom and is part of the World Marathon Majors. The event was first run on 29th March 1981 and has been held in the spring of every year since.

Thousands of runners enter the race and complete the course of 26.2 miles. The task for Chevron, Wilson & Scott, the lining team and of course marathon official Hugh Jones, was to install the blue running line throughout London using a mixture of traffic management mobile and 12D StreetWorks methods.

Thank you for your help. The works to the bridge were completed and great teamwork from both crews. I had a good view from the bridge and was very impressed by their work. Always said it....TM is an art form!

Can I please express my thanks on behalf of everyone at Kier for the exceptional aptitude and attitude shown by one of your site teams who were engaged in a recent local community project. As with any town centre closure there were some ‘challenges’ thrown at the crew but their attitude and commitment to the safety of the children, parents and support groups was second to none. A404 Resurfacing

Could I say a big thank you to yourselves and to all your crews which were on site at the A404 Resurfacing scheme last night. I have spoken to the Tarmac site supervisor from the Chieveley depot this morning who was very appreciative of how helpful and how good it was to work with the crew that was on site.
